Volunteering at the Lake Shrine
Paramahansa Yogananda gave a spiritual teaching for the modern age, one that combines meditation with right activity. He said that activity done with devotion is equal to meditation and that meditation plus right activity creates a God-centered life.
Through its volunteer program, the Lake Shrine Temple offers an opportunity to all to deepen and enrich their spiritual life through selfless service and to experience the "fellowship" in Self-Realization Fellowship. So to all who are interested, we invite you to join the Lake Shrine Temple’s family of volunteers.
If you are a Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons student (or graduate), there are numerous volunteer committees for you to choose from. And, if you aren’t yet a Lessons student, or don’t want to join a committee, you are still welcome to join us at our monthly ‘Temple Day of Service’ held on one Saturday each month.
For your convenience, you can print out a 'Lake Shrine Volunteer Form' here and drop it off in the volunteer box in the temple foyer. To fill out an Online Volunter Form click here. You can also call the Volunteer Coordinator's office for information during the week (310-454-4114) or send an email to .
