To come to the Lake Shrine via Pacific Coast Highway

Take the Santa Monica Freeway No. 10 westward until it ends. It will merge (E/NE) with Pacific Coast Highway. Drive four miles to Sunset Blvd and turn right. The entrance to the Lake Shrine grounds is 1/4 mile up, on your right side.  The Lake Shrine temple building is another 1/4 mile up, also on your right side.

To come to the Lake Shrine via Sunset Boulevard
Make your way to Sunset Blvd. from the San Diego Freeway No. 405 or from points further East.  Travel westward on Sunset Blvd. through the city of Pacific Palisades.  As you drive closer to the beach, you will come upon the Lake Shrine temple building  entrance on your left.  There are no left turns allowed into the temple building entrance, so if this is your destination, you'll have to drive on to the next stop light (Palisades Drive), turn right and then then make a u-turn at the first island. If your destination is the Lake Shrine Meditation Gardens, then continue on just past the stop light at Palisades Drive.  The entrance to the grounds will be on your left-hand side
